UP CM inaugurates Sifi Data Centre in Greater Noida
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Sifi Data
Centre in Greater Noida. Expressing optimism about the state’s technological
advancements, he stated that an artificial intelligence data centre would soon
be established in Lucknow as well.
Highlighting UP’s rapid progress in business facilitation, CM Yogi noted
that the state has developed 33 Sectoral Policies to support various
industries. He remarked, “Keeping in mind the global landscape, we have
designed policies based on the technology required in today’s modern era,
particularly benefiting the youth through research and development. With these
33 Sectoral Policies, we have taken a major leap in ease of doing business. So
far, investments worth Rs 15 lakh crore have been successfully implemented,
generating employment for lakhs of young people within the state. As the
leading state in economic growth, Uttar Pradesh is creating over 500
single-window clearances to streamline business operations. We have further
strengthened this initiative with the Nivesh Sarathi portal to monitor MoUs.”
He further emphasised that the state has now emerged as the country’s
largest hub for IT and electronics, something that was once considered a
distant dream due to previous policy hurdles.
“A significant portion of India’s electronic goods are now being
manufactured in Uttar Pradesh. Noida and Greater Noida, in particular, have
become central to this industry. Today, Uttar Pradesh alone is responsible for
supplying 65 to 70 per cent of the country’s mobile manufacturing and 55 per
cent of the electronic components used in mobile devices nationwide,” CM Yogi
added.
Acknowledging the hurdles posed by its landlocked geography, he placed a
strong emphasis on enhancing world-class connectivity to bridge this gap. Over
the last eight years, his vision has materialised into concrete achievements,
transforming Uttar Pradesh into a benchmark for seamless connectivity.
