D-Link launches two new 5G Wi-Fi 6 mobile hotspots
D-Link has released two new 5G Wi-Fi 6 personal hotspots letting
you connect, stream, and do whatever you need online no matter if you're at
home, working at a cafe, fixing an urgent server problem on the side of the
road, living your best life as a grey nomad, or even simply being a cord-cutter
who doesn't want a fixed-line Internet service.
The two new units are the DBR-330-G 5G AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 Mobile
Hotspot and the F518 5G Wi‑Fi 6 AX1800 Mobile Hotspot.
The F518 5G Wi‑Fi 6 AX1800 Mobile Hotspot with 8000mAh
Battery is designed as a highly practical, all-day portable connectivity
companion. It supports 5G NR mobile technology with theoretical speeds of up to
2.6Gbps and delivers dual-band AX1800 Wi‑Fi 6 performance, with speeds of up to
1200Mbps on 5GHz and 574Mbps on 2.4GHz. Of course, real-world usage may vary
depending on many factors such as mobile tower range, ceilings and walls, and
so on, just as it does for your mobile phone.
With support for OFDMA and MU-MIMO, the F518 is built to deliver
efficient wireless performance across multiple connected devices, making it
ideal for families, small groups, remote workers and travellers who need stable
internet across phones, tablets, laptops and other portable devices.
The 8000mAh battery gives a huge potential 16 hours of use
(again, real-world usage may vary based on numerous factors) and can help keep
you going - and going - when away from power outlets and regular Wi-Fi. In
fact, it also supports reverse charging so the hotspot can also charge your
phone or other devices if needed. With the F518, you're not buying
"just" a hotspot but a power bank too. Plus, it has rapid charging
support.
The F518 can support up to 16 connected devices, brings WPA3
encryption, and advanced firewall protection. It caters to a nano-SIM, has a
USB-C port, a WPS button, and easy-to-read LED indicators with signal strength,
Wi-Fi status, and battery condition.
Meanwhile, the DBR-330-G 5G AX3000 Wi‑Fi 6 Mobile
Hotspot is aimed at consumers who want even higher wireless performance
and more advanced functionality in a travel-ready format. It delivers 5G
connectivity with theoretical download speeds of up to 4.67Gbps and
upload speeds of up to 1.25Gbps, while its dual-band AX3000 Wi‑Fi 6
capability provides speeds of up to 2402Mbps on 5GHz and 574Mbps
on 2.4GHz. This makes it especially appealing for users with heavier
connectivity demands, such as content creators, mobile professionals, power
users, teams on the go, or families travelling with a large number of connected
devices.
