SAP Concur’s new AI-powered booking agent for business travel

SAP Concur has launched an AI-powered booking agent aimed at simplifying business travel for corporate users. Announced at the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Convention in Denver, this conversational tool simplifies corporate travel planning. It allows employees to book flights and hotels using everyday language. Employees don’t need to navigate complex systems or policy documents.

The new AI-powered booking agent accepts simple commands like “Book me a flight to Bengaluru on Thursday morning.” And it instantly provides personalised, policy-compliant travel options along with real-time cost estimates.

“We continue to enhance the new Concur Travel experience to better serve customers,” said Charlie Sultan, President of Concur Travel, SAP Concur.

“With SAP Business AI, we’re innovating rapidly to transform the way companies manage business travel and improve the business traveller experience,” added Sultan.

This development is part of SAP’s broader Joule Agents Copilot initiative. The assistant understands user intent and provides smart suggestions based on company policy and individual preferences. It saves time, improves compliance and automate routine travel planning tasks.

India, a growing market for digital business tools, is expected to benefit significantly from the launch. The AI-powered booking agent meets the needs of Indian organisations with features that support fast, mobile-first and error-free travel planning. It also gives finance and travel teams better visibility into expenses.

Key features for Indian users include a conversational interface, real-time policy-aligned suggestions and integrated cost tracking to minimise reimbursement delays.

88 percent of global business travellers are comfortable using AI for booking and expense tasks, revealed a recent SAP Concur survey. Among Indian respondents, the most valued use cases were travel rebooking and curated travel suggestions.

The AI-powered booking agent directly responds to these demands and helps users make smart travel decisions faster. This allows companies to have tighter control over compliance and spending
