Kaspersky Partners with MIT Bengaluru to Enhance Cybersecurity Education
Kaspersky, a global leader
in cybersecurity, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the
Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) in Bengaluru to boost cybersecurity
education. The agreement, signed by Kaspersky’s Asia Pacific Managing Director
Adrian Hia and MIT Registrar Dr. Giridhar P Kini, aims to address the rising
demand for skilled professionals in this field.
Under this
partnership, Kaspersky will work with MIT to develop specialized training
modules, share industry expertise, and provide professional development for
faculty members. The collaboration focuses on equipping students with critical
cybersecurity skills to meet the industry’s growing needs.
Kaspersky’s
Academy Alliance programme, which integrates academic and practical knowledge
in cybersecurity, is central to the initiative. MIT faculty and students will
gain access to the company’s cybersecurity technologies and expertise. This is
expected to contribute to India’s talent pool as the country faces increasing
cybersecurity challenges.
The partnership
aligns with MIT’s goal to expand its educational programs and ensure graduates
are well-prepared for the cybersecurity sector, which continues to see rapid
growth.
