Amit Shah Unveils Cybersecurity Initiatives, Plans to Train 5,000 Cyber Commandos
Union Home Minister Amit Shah celebrated the first Foundation Day of the
Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) in New Delhi by introducing four
new platforms aimed at combating cybercrime. Shah emphasized the importance of
cybersecurity for national security and outlined key initiatives to reinforce
India's digital protection.
He stressed that cybercrime is a global issue without borders and urged
cooperation among all stakeholders to confront the growing threat.
"Cybercrime has no boundaries, and all stakeholders must unite to tackle
this menace," Shah remarked.
During his speech, Shah highlighted that India currently manages 46% of
the world's digital transactions, pointing to the critical need for
strengthened cybersecurity. To address these challenges, he announced plans to
train 5,000 cyber commandos over the next five years to counter increasing
cyber threats.
