16th World Confluence of Humanity, Power & Spirituality to Spotlight 'Spiritual Intelligence' in ...
At a time when the world is grappling with rapid technological
change, geopolitical uncertainty, and a growing crisis of values, the 16th World Confluence of Humanity,
Power & Spirituality (WCHPS) returns to Kolkata with a
compelling and timely theme: “Spiritual
Intelligence.” Organised by the Universal Spirituality and Humanity
Foundation under the initiative of the Kanoria Foundation,
the two-day Confluence will be held on 26th and 27th December 2025 in
Kolkata, and will be inaugurated by CV Ananda Bose, Honourable Governor of West Bengal, bringing
together an extraordinary assembly of global leaders, spiritual luminaries,
policy-makers, scientists, educationists, and corporate thinkers.
Over the past fifteen years, the World Confluence has emerged as
one of India’s most distinctive and influential platforms for dialogue—where
the worlds of governance, business, science, and spirituality intersect.
Conceived by Dr. H.
P. Kanoria, Chairman of Kanoria Foundation, the Confluence was
founded on a powerful yet simple belief: that sustainable progress and true
prosperity are possible only when power is guided by humanity and spirituality.
What began in 2010 as a pioneering idea in Kolkata has today evolved into a
global movement that continues to shape leadership thinking in boardrooms,
classrooms, and policy circles across continents.
The 16th edition assumes special significance as it seeks to
balance the accelerating influence of Artificial Intelligence with the
deeper, uniquely human capacities of wisdom, compassion, empathy, and ethical
discernment. While technology is transforming economies and societies at an
unprecedented pace, the Confluence will underscore the urgent need for Spiritual Intelligence—the
inner intelligence that anchors decision-making in values, purpose, and
responsibility. By placing human consciousness at the centre of leadership, the
Confluence aims to reframe conversations around growth, governance, and global
harmony.
This year’s programme will feature a distinguished line-up of eminent
speakers and thought leaders drawn from diverse faiths, cultures, and
disciplines. Renowned spiritual masters, senior policymakers, jurists,
scientists, diplomats, corporate leaders, and social reformers will share the
stage, offering perspectives that transcend boundaries of religion,
nationality, and profession. True to the spirit of the Confluence, the emphasis
will be on unity in
diversity—celebrating different paths while discovering shared
universal values.
Over its previous editions, the World Confluence has been graced by former Presidents of India, Governors, senior ministers, international diplomats, global spiritual leaders, Nobel Laureates, scientists, and entrepreneurs. The dialogues have addressed themes ranging from peace, ethics, and sustainability to women empowerment, environmental consciousness, and the moral dimensions of leadership. During the pandemic years, the Confluence seamlessly transitioned to digital platforms, ensuring that conversations on humanity and resilience continued uninterrupted at a time when the world needed them most.
The
Kanoria Foundation, headquartered in Kolkata and guided by its ethos ‘Work With Devotion’,
has consistently championed the integration of values into enterprise and
social development. Founded by the Kanoria family, whose business legacy spans
over two centuries, the Foundation is deeply committed to education,
healthcare, women’s welfare, environmental sustainability, and spiritual
development. Through the World Confluence, the Foundation has created a unique
space where India leads by example—demonstrating how spirituality can serve as
a powerful force in diplomacy, leadership, and nation-building.
As the World Confluence enters its sixteenth year, its relevance
has never been more pronounced. In a world marked by polarisation, conflict,
and relentless competition, the Confluence offers a rare space for reflection,
dialogue, and convergence. It reminds leaders across sectors that power without
humanity is fragile, and progress without spirituality is incomplete. The 16th
World Confluence of Humanity, Power & Spirituality thus stands not merely
as an annual event, but as a continuing call to action—a blueprint for
leadership in the 21st century, where profits, people, and the planet coexist
in harmony.
