Vodafone Idea Appoints Gopika Pant, Anil Berera As Independent Directors
Vodafone Idea has appointed legal professional Gopika Pant
as an Additional Director, qualifying as an Independent Woman Director, for a
five year term starting September 17, 2026. The appointment was approved by the
board on September 14 and is subject to shareholder approval.
Pant
brings more than four decades of legal experience and is the founder of Indian
Law Partners. She is qualified in India and admitted to the New York Bar, with
experience spanning corporate and commercial law, cross border transactions,
mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring.
The
company is also seeking shareholder approval for the appointment of Anil Berera
as an Independent Director. Berera joined the board for a five year term
effective August 31, 2026. Vodafone Idea has initiated a postal ballot process
covering both appointments.
