Snowflake Names Adrian De Luca VP of APJ Solution Engineering
Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, announced the appointment of
Adrian De Luca as its new Vice President, Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ)
Solution Engineering. As an industry veteran with more than 30 years of
experience in enterprise IT, De Luca will lead Snowflake’s solution engineering
teams across APJ.
Throughout
his career, De Luca has helped organisations accelerate cloud migrations,
application modernisation, AI application development and implementation, and
developer transformation, while also supporting partners by building and
driving architectural best practices. Based in Melbourne, Australia, he will
leverage this experience to increase adoption of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud
across APJ, with a focus on supporting enterprise customers to unlock more
value from their data and bring their AI strategies to life.
Prior to
joining Snowflake, De Luca spent more than a decade at AWS, most recently
holding the title of Director of Cloud Acceleration, Asia Pacific. For the past
three-plus years, De Luca focused almost exclusively on building
enterprise AI & agentic systems, with his prototyping team developing novel
applications and use cases for everything from document processing to
personalised marketing, and even motorsports strategy.
Earlier in
his career De Luca spent almost 15 years with Hitachi Data Systems, becoming
CTO, Asia Pacific before leaving to cofound the fitness marketplace app,
AirActive. Throughout his career, De Luca has worked closely with public sector
and enterprise clients on strategies to improve security, risk, and compliance
in the cloud, including advising the Australian Federal Government on its Cloud
Policy.
