Prowler Appoints Former SentinelOne and AWS Executive Rajiv Taori as COO
Prowler, the leading Open Cloud Security
platform, announced the appointment of Rajiv Taori as its first Chief Operating
Officer. Taori brings more than 20 years of experience in building and scaling
successful technology businesses, with deep expertise in cybersecurity, cloud
services, and enterprise software.
"Prowler is opening the black box of cloud security by
combining the transparency of open source with the power of a community-driven
platform," said Jon Sakoda, Founding Partner at Decibel VC. "Rajiv's
experience building cloud-scale security solutions at AWS and SentinelOne makes
him uniquely positioned to accelerate Prowler's growth. His deep understanding
of cloud security will be instrumental in building on Prowler's strong
foundation and market leadership."
Prior
to joining Prowler, Taori served as General Manager of SentinelOne Data Lake,
where he led go-to-market strategy and execution for enterprise and government
cybersecurity solutions. Before SentinelOne, he held key product leadership
positions at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he launched and scaled several
critical services based on open source, including OpenSearch and OpenTelemetry.
"Rajiv's
exceptional track record in building and scaling cloud and security businesses
makes him the ideal leader to help drive Prowler's next phase of growth," said
Toni de la Fuente, Founder and CEO of Prowler. "His deep technical
expertise, business acumen, and proven success in delivering value to
enterprise customers will be invaluable as we continue to drive innovation in
open cloud security."
"I
am thrilled to join Prowler at this pivotal moment in the company's
journey," said Taori. "Organizations today face unprecedented
challenges in securing their cloud infrastructure while maintaining operational
efficiency. Prowler's unique approach to customizable, community-driven,
multi-cloud cloud security perfectly addresses these challenges, and I look
forward to working with the team to scale our impact and innovation in the
market."
Taori's
appointment follows Prowler's recent launch of Prowler 5 at AWS re:Invent 2024,
which marked a significant milestone in the company's evolution. The new
release transforms Prowler into a unified multi-cloud security platform,
offering comprehensive protection across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
(GCP), and Kubernetes. With over 1,000 security controls and dozens of
remediation options, Prowler 5.0 represents the company's commitment to
providing enterprise-grade security solutions while maintaining the flexibility
and transparency of open-source software.
