Motorola Appoints T.M Narasimhan as MD for Mobile Business Group in India

Motorola Mobility India has recently announced the appointment of T.M Narasimhan as the Managing Director for its Mobile Business Group in the country. In his new role, Narasimhan will be responsible for leading Motorola's business operations in India and will report directly to Prashanth Mani, who continues to head Motorola’s Asia Pacific business.

 

Narasimhan brings with him a wealth of experience from leadership roles in prominent companies such as PepsiCo, Britannia, and Samsung. His strategic insights and industry knowledge are expected to contribute significantly to Motorola's growth in the dynamic Indian market.

 

Prashanth Mani, Executive Director-Motorola Asia Pacific, emphasized India's importance as a key focus market within the Asia Pacific region. He expressed confidence in Narasimhan's ability to lead the India team and drive the business to greater success.

 

Despite a flat to declining market, Motorola has demonstrated consistent growth at a double-digit premium to the market over the past year in India. In Q2 FY23, the brand achieved a remarkable 37% premium to market growth, indicating a rapid acquisition of market share.

 

Narasimhan expressed his eagerness to build upon the solid foundation laid by Motorola and take the India business to new heights. He emphasized the brand's commitment to consistently delivering an exceptional consumer experience and satisfaction.

 

In the past year, Motorola introduced its razr 40 series and edge 40 series, catering to the needs of modern consumers. The Motorola razr 40 ultra and Motorola razr 40 have been designed with a focus on meeting the evolving demands of the market.

 

Motorola's appointment of T.M Narasimhan reflects the brand's dedication to strengthening its position in the Indian market, leveraging his leadership and industry expertise to drive continued growth and innovation.
