In his new role, Vij will lead Hexaware’s engagement across private equity, infrastructure, private debt, real estate, sovereign wealth funds, distressed debt funds and their portfolio companies, driving business strategy, partnerships and growth. He will focus on enabling investors and portfolio firms to accelerate value creation through technology-led and AI-driven interventions.
Vij brings over two decades of experience advising private markets investors and portfolio leaders on strategic transformation and operational excellence. Before joining Hexaware, Vij held senior leadership roles across leading IT and business process solutions companies, spearheading private markets engagement. He also served on the executive management team of a knowledge process outsourcing venture that was later acquired by Moody’s Corp. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London, advising private equity and corporate clients on mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance.
Vij began his professional journey as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, retiring as a squadron leader after flying multiple operational MiG aircraft. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, and is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy.
