Dell Technologies Expands its Dell AI for Telecom Program
Dell
Technologies announced that it has expanded its Dell AI for Telecom program,
working with Intel to bring new solutions to communications service providers
(CSPs) that support network operations and enterprise edge use cases.
The company said the new solutions help CSP's easily bring AI
into to their network for efficiency, reliability and cost savings, and build
AI solutions at the edge to monetize the investments in their network with the
enterprise.
New network operations solutions include:
Intent-Based RAN Assistant with Aira: A GenAI tool powered by AiRA Technologies,
RANGPT enables CSP network engineers to intelligently pool data and generate
simple applications and scripts based upon intent. The tool also tests,
registers and deploys code on the network, in turn accelerating application
development and driving network operational efficiencies.
Network Traffic Analysis and Optimization with Opanga: RAN software is quickly deployed into the mobile core
(either edge or centralized), allowing operators to gain visibility of
previously unavailable data traffic. CSPs can use this traffic analysis to
dramatically increase their network efficiency.
AI-Powered Network Automation-in-a-box with EnterpriseWeb: EnterpriseWeb's Netwrx.ai provides CSPs with
GenAI-powered 5G network automation in a box. Its intent-based natural language
interface means users can talk to Netwrx.ai to compose network elements,
supported by full stack provisioning, orchestration and management.
New enterprise edge solutions include:
AIoT-Powered Site Security for Safer Venues with EPIC.IO: The solution combines an IoT software suite with Open
AI to integrate AI models, automate logic and enable visualization to support
safer venues. Centralized management provides complete visibility of locations
from edge devices, with automation that streamlines security operations. The
scalable solution enables CSPs to extend coverage to new sites as they roll out.
Vision AI for Smart Manufacturing with Chooch: Chooch Vision AI offers computer
vision-based incident prediction and detection. Manufacturers can build
computer vision solutions in minutes, enabling smart processes that avoid
production interruptions and improve productivity. Anomalies are caught using
object detection and image recognition at the edge or cloud, enhancing
efficiency for manufacturers.
AI-Powered Mission Critical Communication with Ecrio: The AI/ML based framework enables human to machine
communication for the voice command and control of IoT devices, including
cameras, drones and robots.
Real-Time AI-Powered Crowd Analytics with WaitTime: The end-to-end deployment combines video analytics with
existing cameras to generate real-time insights. These can be used to optimize
operations, while enabling communication via dashboards, digital and mobile
displays.
AI-Powered Smart Transportation with A.I Tech: The solution uses AI and deep learning for
smart video analysis, helping to monitor vehicles, traffic, parking and
pedestrian traffic, creating more efficient transport systems.
Footfall and Crowd Analytics with TensorGo: TensorGo uses video analytics of existing
camera feeds to monitor footfall and crowds. Smart cities can count vehicles
and detect parking spaces; retailers can monitor store security; while
transportation can support safety compliance.
AI Powered Worker Safety and Hazard Detection with Aotu: A solution that enables applications to leverage AI for
real-time video analysis.
Intelligent Video Analytics for Retail, Transportation and Ports with
Gorilla: The AI solution uses existing CCTV video data to detect
abnormal events and provide actionable analytics, all through a single
dashboard.
AI Powered Video Analytics Solution for Worker, Transportation and Site
safety with Axxonsoft: The software is used across many verticals
to maintain site security.
Inventory Visibility and Management with C5i: The solution identifies inventory issues and
recommends proactive corrective actions.
As demand for AI solutions grows, Intel and Dell have
optimized edge, running on Dell PowerEdge XR8000 servers and powered by Intel
Xeon processors, which are packed with AI instruction sets.
These applications offer:
- Optimized Edge AI Applications: Verified for Intel
architecture, ensuring better TCO and scalability.
- Ruggedized Hardware: NEBS Level 3 certified, suitable for
extreme environments.
- Multiple Connectivity Options: Support for wired, Wi-Fi and
Private 5G networks.
Key features include:
- Validated Designs: Efficient deployment with proven
configurations tested by Dell and industry partners.
- Flexible Workloads: Host AI workloads from edge to cloud,
offering real-time decision-making capabilities.
- Scalable Infrastructure: Open systems to trial and scale
out architecture for better total cost of ownership for Gen AI and traditional
AI use cases.
- Ability to bring AI workloads to anywhere in the network
from core to edge to RAN and beyond.
"The future of telecom is smarter and more efficient,
thanks to AI's ability to automate and optimize network operations. CSPs are
facing challenges that require solutions beyond human capabilities. Imagine trying
to monitor, optimize and fix network functions in real-time, 24/7. That's where
AI steps in. By adopting solutions like Dell AI for Telecom, CSPs can choose
how to accelerate their AI journeys with Dell's ecosystem of silicon and ISV
partners," said Andrew Vaz, VP, Product Management - Telecom Systems
Business, Dell Technologies.
