boAt Expands Internationally, Enters Sri Lanka And Bhutan

boAt has expanded into Sri Lanka and Bhutan as part of its international growth strategy, following a more than twofold increase in international revenue in the financial year 2025-26 (FY26).

The company’s international expansion is focused on markets across Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Sri Lanka and Bhutan add to its existing international presence as it seeks to grow beyond India.

boAt will enter the two markets with products across personal audio, smartwatches and charging solutions. The company plans to adapt its product portfolio based on local consumer preferences and market demand.

International markets form part of the company’s boAt 2.0 strategy, which also involves expanding into consumer technology categories beyond personal audio. In FY26, its wearables business turned profitable, while charging solutions and other emerging categories contributed to its profits, the company said.

The expansion is supported by boAt Labs, the company’s in-house research and development centre, which has more than 100 engineers working on product development and innovation across categories.

Gaurav Nayyar, chief executive officer of boAt, said the company would focus on understanding local consumers as it enters new markets.

boAt plans to deepen its presence in existing international markets while evaluating further expansion opportunities across South Asia, Southeast Asia and the GCC region.
